PiPER is a lightweight robot arm with six degrees of freedom, built by AgileX Robotics for research, teaching and rapid prototyping.

At 4.2 kg the arm is light enough to be mounted on a desk, on a demonstration rig or directly on a mobile platform, which makes it a common choice for mobile manipulation setups on SCOUT or BUNKER bases. It handles a payload of up to 1.5 kg, reaches 626 mm and repeats to 0.1 mm. Integrated joint drives keep the motion smooth.

The arm is controlled through a Python API, ROS 1 or ROS 2. A CAN interface simplifies integration with a host computer, a vision system or a gripper. The manufacturer states an operating temperature range of -20 to 50 degrees Celsius, so experiments are not restricted to laboratory conditions.
