HUNTER SE is a mobile robot platform with Ackermann steering, built by AgileX Robotics for research and development in autonomous driving.

Unlike differential-drive platforms, the car-like steering geometry reproduces the kinematics of a road vehicle, which makes it a good testbed for path planning and control algorithms that later run on full-size vehicles. It is well suited to longer runs and higher travel speeds.

The steel chassis carries a payload of up to 50 kg, and the upper mounting plate takes LiDAR, cameras, GNSS, IMU and additional computers. A CAN bus interface, an open SDK and ROS / ROS 2 packages are available for developing custom control and autonomy stacks.
